Pankratz serves as the chief business officer for the UNT System providing oversight and coordination of the financial activities of the System as a whole and each component institution. Pankratz provides advice and counsel on multiple aspects of system management, and directs the preparation of short-term and long-range financial plans and directs the organization and administration of procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper financial records, and adequate accounting controls and services; and leads and directs the establishment of the UNT System annual operating budget. Prior to joining the University of North Texas System, Terry spent 21 years working for the Texas A&M University System with Texas Agrilife Extension, Texas A&M University-Commerce and two stints with Texas A&M University. Holding multiple appointments and assignments throughout his career at Texas A&M University, Terry ultimately served as Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for financial operations and administration of an annual university operating budget in excess of $1.2 billion and administrative responsibility for the Division of Finance, including budgeting, financial accounting and reporting, payroll, student business services, human resources, employee and organizational development, real estate, contracting and procurement, logistic services, and division information technology services. Terry’s professional interests include leadership theory and leader/follower relationships, strategic planning, continuous improvement, and the application of technology to streamline business functions. He is a certified public accountant and has a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. |
