AACSB sets the standard for business education worldwide

The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) is proud to announce that we have joined the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The AACSB sets the standard for business education around the world. It is a global network of more than 1,900 institutions aimed at creating the next generation of business leaders. Less than half of the higher education institutions in North Texas are AACSB members.

Membership demonstrates the university’s commitment to developing a world-class School of Business and eventually becoming an AACSB-accredited institution. "AACSB membership will expand interest in our programs by employers and expand opportunities for our students. It places UNT Dallas with the highest quality business schools in the world,” said Dr. Jason Garrett, dean of the UNT Dallas School of Business. Officially, UNT Dallas is a Business Education Alliance member.

According to the AACSB, membership empowers schools to “stay connected with the latest insights, resources, and best practices in business education, helping them enhance their impact on students, communities, and economies.” These assets equip colleges and universities to better prepare their students for success in highly competitive business fields.

In addition to course knowledge, students learn marketable skills, including communication, teamwork and problem-solving, to prepare them for the workplace. They also gain valuable leadership experience through the college’s partnerships with local businesses.

AACSB membership will strengthen these partnerships and enable our business professors to provide a high-quality education that will give students an edge in tomorrow’s most innovative and in-demand careers. “The privilege of joining AACSB reflects the quality of programs at UNT Dallas and the university’s commitment to the continuous improvement of our curriculum,” Dr. Garrett said.
