For the first time, the UNT System Enterprise will have a centralized, systemwide intranet-based communication platform offering faculty and staff seamless access to the latest news and updates, as well as essential information and important employee resources.
UNT System Connect launches on January 24 for UNT System and UNT Dallas, on February 13 at UNT Denton, and on March 18 at UNT Health Science Center.
Connect offers a variety of benefits for a unified employee experience across our enterprise:
- Ease of Access: Faculty and staff will have seamless and customized access to the information they need with UNT System Connect. Employees will be able to easily access UNT System Connect via their PC or Mac with Teams or SharePoint, on their mobile device through the Teams or SharePoint APPs, or through individually tailored news emails from UNT System Connect delivered directly to their inbox.
- Real-Time Notifications and Updates: Stay informed with real-time notifications and alerts on important announcements, events, and changes, ensuring you are always up to date.
- Personalized Content Curation: Users can follow UNT System Connect and their respective campus site to receive news and updates tailored just for them; however, all employees will also have access to information from across the UNT System Enterprise fostering greater transparency and collaboration. Dear Faculty and Staff of the UNT System Enterprise:
In my first year as Chancellor, we conducted a comprehensive review of our processes and found numerous opportunities to better support our faculty and staff. We have already begun addressing or evaluating our ability to improve our employee experience based on the findings of the diagnostic. This includes modernizing internal communication systems for our faculty and staff to improve accessibility, efficiency, and engagement.
Only 23% of our employees were satisfied with how leaders communicated important decisions. It is crucial that our university leadership communicate effectively and transparently across the organization to ensure we can continue work as One Team, One System.
Therefore, I am excited to announce the launch of UNT System Connect, an intuitive intranet platform. This is more than just any intranet. It is a commitment to seamless collaboration, easy access to essential information, a robust approach to the security and privacy of employees, and transparent communications across the enterprise.
UNT System Connect launches on January 24 for UNT System and UNT Dallas, on February 13 at UNT Denton, and on March 18 at UNT Health Science Center.
This cutting-edge internal communication tool provides a centralized hub for up-to-date news, announcements, and essential employee resources. It is tailored to reduce email overload by offering a personalized experience for internal communications, employee-only information, and more. With this platform, you can easily find the information that matters to you, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow.
UNT System Connect will unite the enterprise in a secure, centralized hub with each campus having its own dedicated page, offering a consistent and connected experience for all employees regardless of physical location.
UNT System Connect will change communication for our entire enterprise and, like any change, will require the effort of every team member to ensure success. I encourage you to take time to learn the benefits of UNT System Connect, as we strive to improve connectedness and transparency across our UNT System Enterprise.
For the first time in its history, the UNT System Enterprise will have a systemwide,
intranet-based communication platform and I am thrilled to offer less clutter and
more connectivity in 2024. We will provide regular updates, access information, and
details on UNT System Connect as we roll out this powerful tool for our faculty and
staff.
With gratitude,
Dr. Michael R. Williams
Chancellor
