Visiting future student at The University of North Texas at Dallas Trailblazer 360 Preview Day on-campus event
Choosing where to go to college is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. That’s why UNT Dallas is welcoming high school junior and seniors and transfer students from other colleges and universities to our Trailblazer 360 Preview Day on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
With dozens of majors offered by four schools, there's sure to be an academic program that's right for you, your child or someone else you know. "This is the perfect opportunity to get a close-up look at our programs, our people and our Trailblazer culture," said Luis Franco, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management and Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions. "Students can get all of their questions asked in one place at one time in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment."
Future UNT Dallas Trailblazers will discover our commitment to innovative teaching and learning, classroom-to-career readiness and a culture of belonging and support, especially for first-generation college students. The event also includes campus tours, lunch, giveaways and a prize drawing. Parking is free.

Visitors will be able to talk with deans and professors from all four schools to learn about our vigorous academic programs focused on experiential learning. They can also connect with financial aid experts, academic advisors and career counselors. Many UNT Dallas students receive Pell grants and other financial assistance, including the Dallas County Promise and scholarships for help with tuition and fees. Combined with our affordable tuition, it means UNT Dallas graduates have among the lowest median student debt in North Texas. Respected national evaluations from U.S. News & World Report and Washington Monthly rank UNT Dallas high for value and socioeconomic mobility.
Representatives from Offices of Leadership Development and Student Belonging will show prospective Trailblazers the many events and activities offered throughout the year. Members of fraternities and sororities, the eSports team, UNT Dallas Athletics, the Student Government Association (SGA) and other groups, clubs and associations will also be there to share information.

UNT Dallas is the first choice for first-gen students, like Cristian Medina and Malik Childs, who make up about two-thirds of our campus. Programs such as Trailblazer Elite and the Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Leadership Program offer mentoring, encouragement, hands-on job training and assistance navigating the university experience. “I am glad that I chose UNTD because it has enabled me to connect with other first-gen students and incredible faculty who sincerely care about students,” said Rolando Castillo, a 2024 graduate of the School of Business.
With so many academic options to choose, and concepts like Design Thinking and a Growth Mindset encouraged by many instructors, students can chart their own customized path from orientation to graduation.
Our Counseling & Wellness Center offers free counseling sessions and other mental health support from licensed professionals. The Student Health Clinic provides vaccinations, testing and screening, and additional related services.
